Overview | L-cysteine ethyl ester hydrochloride is an amino acid derivative useful as an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals. |
synthesis method | synthesis of L-cysteine ethyl ester hydrochloride: L-cysteine (24.20g,0.20mol) 300mL of ethanol was placed in a 500mL eggplant bottle, and sulfoxide chloride (22mL,0.30mol) was slowly added dropwise under the condition of ice water bath. After the dropwise addition was completed, the reaction was continued for 3H at room temperature, and the reaction was heated to reflux for 12h. The reaction solution was cooled to room temperature, and the solvent was distilled off to obtain 36.42g of white powder, yield 98.1%. |
Use | for biochemical reagents, pharmaceutical intermediates. |
